Interventional cardiology has developed rapidly during recent years thanks to technological innovation mainly due to sophisticated miniaturised devices that have made both diagnosis and therapeutic interventions easier, undoubtedly less invasive than in the past. The most popular of these procedures is stenting using increasingly finer devices such as the drug eluting stent (DES) EucaLimus, consisting of a resorbable polymer measuring 0.65 microns in thickness and available in various lengths up to 48 mm, with quarter measurements in diameter.

The duration of antiplatelet therapy has been significantly reduced compared to procedures with traditional stents thanks to this polymer resorbable in 90 days.
