Cr-Co BALLOON CATHETER CORONARY STENT, PREMOUNTED ON BILUMINAL RELEASE DELIVERY SYSTEM
Electropolished cobalt-chrome coronary stent (L605), consisting of a coronary stent with controlled compliance semi compliant balloon (slightly modifiable diameter), premounted on a monorail biluminal release delivery system (Rapid Exchange technique). Distal lumen (27 cm in length) accommodates a 0.014’’ (0.36 mm) guide wire, whilst the second lumen is used to inflate/deflate the balloon. Atraumatic tip.
The distal part of the catheter shaft is made of hydrophilic coated polyamide to facilitate advancement within the system, whilst the proximal part is made of steel and PTFE. Two radio opaque markers at the end of the balloon highlight the length of the balloon under fluoroscopy and stent position. Moreover, two radio opaque markers on the balloon catheter shaft (95 cm and 105 cm from the distal tip) indicate the position of the device compared to the end of the guide catheter. The balloon reaches its nominal diameter at a pressure of 0.8 MPa (8 bar). Release delivery system operating length is of 138 cm. All Euca CCFlex stent systems are covered by a sheath protecting the stent profile during use.
Euca CCFlex coronary stents are recommended for patients suffering from symptomatic ischaemic type cardiovascular disease caused by de novo lesions or restenosis of the coronary arteries, or arterial or venous bypass, with reference diameter between 2.25 mm and 6 mm. Stent length must be such to cover the length of the lesion. Stents are available in lengths between 8 mm and 38 mm.
